About the role
This role is responsible for designing, engineering, and evolving the presentation layer architecture for an enterprise self-service platform that delivers technology information, knowledge, automated assistance, and issue resolution capabilities. The position focuses on building scalable, maintainable, and performant user interfaces while partnering across disciplines to deliver enterprise-grade digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners, UX teams, solution architects, technical leads, and engineering teams to define frontend architecture, technical designs, and implementation strategies that align with business and platform objectives.
- Contribute to requirements engineering, story refinement, solution design, and estimation activities, ensuring technical feasibility, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards.
- Design and develop reusable UI components, application frameworks, and front-end services using modern web technologies, enabling efficient integration with backend APIs and enterprise platforms.
- Translate user experience designs into responsive, accessible, and performant web applications that adhere to enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and usability standards.
- Engineer, develop, and unit test solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, reliability, maintainability, and security objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges, troubleshoot architectural issues, and identify opportunities to improve system design, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to automated quality engineering practices, including integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing strategies; analyze test results and drive resolution of identified defects and platform risks.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architectural diagrams, deployment considerations, integration patterns, operational procedures, and support documentation.
- Participate in and help guide modern DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, including branching strategies, pull request governance, code reviews, merge and conflict resolution, release management, deployment automation, and production readiness activities.
- Advocate for engineering best practices, frontend architecture standards, observability, maintainability, and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle while mentoring and coaching team members.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise web applications using modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
- Experience translating business and user experience requirements into scalable frontend architectures, reusable component frameworks, and responsive application designs.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing API-driven architectures, including frontend integration with RESTful services, microservices, and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Experience with source control management, branching strategies, code review processes, and release governance using Git, Bitbucket, or similar platforms.
- Experience contributing to DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills
- Proficiency with React, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, and JSON.
- Proficiency in creating wireframes, mockups, and technical design artifacts using tools such as InVision, Dreamweaver, or equivalent design and prototyping platforms.
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio and modern development environments supporting enterprise software engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, application lifecycle management, and modern engineering practices within Agile delivery environments, including Jira-based work management.
- Knowledge of enterprise UI standards, branding frameworks, accessibility requirements, and WCAG/ADA AA and AAA compliance standards.
- Ability to independently lead frontend solution design and implementation efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and engineering standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and solution designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with experience diagnosing complex application, integration, and performance-related issues.
