Re-Entry Counselor

About the role

The Re-Entry Counselor is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals returning to higher education after a period of time away from formal learning.

Responsibilities

• Assessing student needs and developing individualized academic plans
• Providing counseling services to help students overcome barriers to success
• Mentoring students to enhance their academic performance and personal development
• Collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment
• Conducting outreach to potential students and community partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience working with adult learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for travel)
