About the role
The Re-Entry Counselor is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals returning to higher education after a period of absence.
Responsibilities
- Assess and document student needs and progress
- Provide academic advising and counseling services
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure successful student outcomes
- Conduct outreach to potential students and community partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field
- Experience working with adult learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for helping others succeed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
