RCS Associate

Training will be a hybrid schedule with the possibility for remote work once fully trained. You must be able to attend onsite trainings, meetings, and events as needed at the closest IU Health Revenue Cycle Services building near you. Training hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; regular work shifts may vary between 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

About the role

This position is responsible for the delivery of customer-facing services within Revenue Cycle System Services. Responsibilities may include scheduling, registration, insurance verification, prior-authorization, financial counseling/individual solutions, cashiering, release of information, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
• Obtain prior-authorizations and provide financial counseling/individual solutions
• Handle cashiering and release of information
• Deliver high-quality customer service
• Maintain departmental productivity, quality, and service standards in support of operational goals

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance
• High level of interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships
• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives
