Job Summary

You will provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric critical care patients. Under medical and departmental direction, you'll deliver essential respiratory care per physician orders and policies, ensuring critical care services are met. You'll manage equipment and adapt care plans to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver essential respiratory care per physician orders and policies.
  • Meticulously manage equipment to ensure critical care services are met.
  • Adapt care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Combine strong clinical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach to contribute to healing and recovery in critical care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge regarding infant, pediatric, and adult pulmonary disease processes and appropriate respiratory care interventions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable ventilator modalities and applications in the acute and sub-acute settings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable infant and pediatric ventilator modalities and applications in the sub-acute setting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of respiratory pharmacology, including recommended dosing, indications, and contraindications of each drug.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic management and monitoring of the sick neonate.
  • Provide safe and effective therapeutic administration of aerosolized medications to the tracheal bronchial tree through nebulized medications and IPPB.

Job Requirements

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Preferred: One (1) year previous experience as an RCP in acute care, Two (2) years of acute care experience, including critical care and neonatal intensive care for lead therapist positions, Experience in pediatric mechanical ventilation and airway management for working in the pediatric sub-acute unit.

Pay Range

$67.60 - $67.60 /hour
