Position Summary: The primary objective of this role is to provide RCOH SQL developer support for the SUPSHIP Newport News Planning Team. As the RCOH SQL developer, you will be responsible for providing Structured Query Language (SQL) support services to SUPSHIPNN RCOH project teams and ensuring interoperability across legacy and modern data platforms.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, develop, and troubleshoot issues/bugs in existing Access applications and vintage Microsoft Access “accdb” databases.
• Maintain and administer SQL Server databases, including backups, tuning, modifying existing tables/queries, security, and managing user accounts.
• Design, develop, repair, and optimize SQL database-driven applications while ensuring strict compliance with data integrity and Cybersecurity requirements.
• Work closely with Contracting Officers, Planning Manager(s), and application users to ensure required functionality
