What You’ll Do
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for Retina visits, injections, procedures, and surgeries.
- Obtain prior authorizations, referrals, and predeterminations.
- Prepare patient estimates, communicate financial responsibility, and collect payments when appropriate.
- Aid patients with co-pays and financial assistance programs.
- Monitor work queues, dashboards, reports, and automated alerts to ensure timely follow-up.
- Utilize approved AI, automation, and technology solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and validate information generated by automated and AI-enabled systems.
- Partner with clinical teams to resolve insurance, authorization, and patient financial concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and the patient experience.
- Provide financial clearance support for other specialties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Comfort utilizing AI, automation, and digital workflow solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and exceptional patient service.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience in healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management, insurance verification, prior authorization, financial counseling, or Retina services.
- Experience with healthcare technology, workflow automation, dashboards, or AI-enabled tools.

POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Location: Remote in AL, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MO, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA
- Occasional overtime and travel may be required based on business needs.
