RBT/BT- Denville Center Program

Hand Over Hand provides center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with autism and developmental disabilities. This full-time, salaried position involves direct 1:1 and small-group work implementing individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision, with structured support for professional growth and RBT certification.

About the Role

As an RBT or Behavior Technician, you’ll work directly with children in our center-based setting, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. You will work alongside BCBAs and a supportive clinical team to implement individualized treatment plans in an engaging, structured environment. Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services in a center-based environment.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA using evidence-based strategies such as reinforcement, prompting, NET, and DTT.
• Help children develop communication, social, emotional, behavioral, adaptive, and daily living skills while building independence and confidence.
• Accurately collect and record data, document sessions, and communicate observations and progress to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical leadership, families, and team members to support consistent, high-quality care.
• Follow clinical protocols and maintain a safe, positive, engaging, and supportive environment for every child.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development to strengthen clinical skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children required.
• Experience with autism/developmental disabilities preferred.
• ABA, childcare, preschool, education, or behavioral health experience a plus.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented, and open to feedback.
• Comfortable in an active, center-based environment.
• Commitment to professional standards and ongoing development.

Qualifications

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

• Active RBT certification through the BACB required.

Behavior Technician (BT) — Not Yet Certified

• RBT certification required within the first four months of employment.
• Hand Over Hand provides support and guidance toward obtaining RBT certification.

Pay

$38,000–$46,000 annual salary based on experience, location, and RBT certification. Additional perks for RBT-certified candidates; BTs may be eligible for additional perks after earning RBT certification within the first four months.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm. Center-based, salaried position.
