About the Role
At BAYADA Behavioral Health, we are a non-profit employer committed to providing education and training to help you learn and grow in your career. Through our BAYADA RBT Academy, we offer the training needed to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT).

- Hands-on training and structured observation
- BAYADA study guides to prepare for the RBT exam
Responsibilities
- Work with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence
- Provide care in a school-based setting for local school districts on Oahu
- Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams
- Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
- Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students in the classroom
- Document interventions and progress toward goals
- Collect behavior data as specified in the client behavior plan
- Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help students acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
- Support clients in interpersonal skills, personal relationship development, and building independence in their school routine
- Help school-age children succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
- No prior experience necessary
- Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA

Starting pay: $30/hour

- Monday–Friday (7:30 AM–3:00 PM)
