Rap Crusher Operator/Foreman
About the role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Rap Crusher Operator/Foreman to lead the maintenance and operation of our Rap Crusher. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the crusher as well as maintaining the equipment to keep the plant running safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
Training is available. Working in extreme weather conditions should be expected. Willingness to work varied and extended hours up to 7 days a week when needed is required. Travel will be required as the crusher operates throughout Idaho.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the setup, teardown, and day-to-day operations of our portable rap crusher.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with crusher and supporting conveyor belts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, belt adjustments, crusher adjustments, and component replacements.
- Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and other critical components.
- Feed crusher with excavator and run loader/dozer as needed.
- Perform general welding and fabrication as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven work history reflecting a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Must have excavator and loader operator experience.
- Experience with Crusher and Asphalt Plants preferred.
- Mechanical and fabrication experience preferred.
- Must have a current Driver’s license.
- Must be able to meet company's attendance policy.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
