Rail Yard Technician

Clean Harbors in Sterling, CO is searching for a safety-oriented and reliable individual to join our team. This is an entry-level, full-time position offering career growth and advancement opportunities.

Pay

$23.50 hourly, paid weekly with overtime.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates industrial equipment, including but not limited to forklift
• Performs general labor throughout the facility to prepare materials for the incineration process
• Ensures the safety of self and others
• Performs manual tasks such as cleaning up spills while taking all safety precautions to prevent injury
• Follows all standard operating procedures
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with industrial or manual labor
• Ability to work in adverse environments (cold/heat)
• Excellent commitment to health and safety
• Accountability and punctuality
• Ability to perform multiple tasks
• Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist
• Climb up and down vertical ladders
• Capable of reaching out, over, and down while exerting force
• 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) with critical depth perception
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to operate a forklift (required)
• Valid US driver’s license
• Updated resume, including most recent employer, is required for consideration
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
