Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Rail Cart Operator to join our team in Highlands, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating rail carts efficiently and safely to transport materials within our facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rail carts to transport materials and equipment within the designated areas.
• Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure rail carts are in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies while operating equipment.
• Load and unload materials as required, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage or accidents.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operations and any issues encountered.
• Report any mechanical problems or safety hazards immediately to maintenance or management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating rail carts or similar industrial vehicles preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Work Environment

This position involves working in an industrial setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
