About the Role

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Rail Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; or Buffalo, NY. In this role, you'll help deliver innovative rail bridge solutions, contribute to the rehabilitation and design of critical infrastructure, and collaborate with talented professionals on projects that shape the future of transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for bridge infrastructure
  • Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of bridge and transportation engineering, such as bridge design and accelerated bridge construction (ABC)
  • Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions
  • Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
  • Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Pay

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
