About the role
Join CHA Consulting, Inc. as a Rail Bridge Engineer in Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; or Buffalo, NY. In this role, you'll deliver innovative rail bridge solutions, contribute to the rehabilitation and design of critical infrastructure, and collaborate with talented professionals on projects shaping the future of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for bridge infrastructure.
- Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in bridge and transportation engineering, such as bridge design and accelerated bridge construction (ABC).
- Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints.
- Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support.
- Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices.
- Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.

Pay
Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
