Job Summary

This position is per diem at our Main Hospital in Dover, NH. We have 4 exam rooms, with 3 portables and our equipment includes Samsung, Vistek, Agfa portable, GE Oec CArms and Philips. 1 shift per month minimum required. No Call or Holiday coverage required however shifts are available.

Essential Functions

  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients
  • Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs
  • Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation
  • Maintains pertinent records
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
  • May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required; if student must have completed required student competencies
  • Licenses and Credentials: NH Radiologic Technologist required; students must obtain NH license upon program completion. Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; students must obtain within 1 year of program completion
  • Basic Life Support required
  • Experience: Radiology Technician experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years preferred
