About the role
Performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures and studies with a thorough understanding of standard radiography and fluoroscopy. Assists physicians, interprets orders, and explains procedures to RNs, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Assists in department operations by processing paperwork, films, and expediting patient transportation.
- Works in various areas of Diagnostic Radiology including Skilled Nursing, Operating Rooms, Trauma/ER, etc.
- Utilizes a filmless based environment.
Requirements
- Speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions.
- Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer skills.
- Windows computer skills including keyboarding, mouse usage, and basic software proficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure.
- Preferred Education: Associate's Degree.
- Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months related.
- Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 years related.
- Required Certification: Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R).
- Preferred Certification: Not Applicable.
- Required License: Certi Radiology Tech CRT(F).
- Preferred License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R).
Skills
- Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer skills.
- Windows computer skills including keyboarding, mouse usage, and basic software proficiency.
