Radiology Technologist - Full-Time Evening
About the role
The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients' unique and/or age-related needs. They utilize clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of techniques, and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images. They perform all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to both the patient and operator, with ALARA awareness.
Responsibilities
- Takes and processes diagnostic radiographic images using a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment.
- Positions patients appropriately for imaging studies, considering individual patient needs and age-related considerations.
- Calibrates and adjusts imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Documents patient information accurately and prepares examination reports according to physician orders.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
- Oregon Radiographer License (ORR) or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License (ORTL).
- National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- New graduates must have an Oregon Radiographer Temporary License and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Skills
Providence Radiology Technologists should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They should also have the ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure under pressure.

Pay
$36.99 - $57.44 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time/Evening Shift - Tuesday - Friday from 3pm-1:30am.
