About the role
The Cath Lab Technologist works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They assist in procedures, prepare patients for procedures such as IV placement, blood collection, and site preparation, review patient charts to ensure all necessary consents and lab results are present, and monitor patients post-procedure including site management, vital signs, and telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assists in procedures

- Reviews patient chart to ensure consents and appropriate labs are in place
- Makes site management, vital sign, and telemetry monitoring post-procedure
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of a school of vocational nursing or a medical radiologic technology program
- Experience: One year of clinical experience in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Radiology, or related specialty preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Texas. Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
