About the role

Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Radiology Technician to join their team. This position offers an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to work at a top-tier, surgically-focused center that performs thousands of procedures annually.

Responsibilities

  • IV and contrast administration
  • Orthopedic radiology
  • Pediatric radiology
  • Operating room Radiology
  • Trauma Radiology
  • Gastrointestinal (GI) Radiology
  • Outpatient and inpatient diagnostic Radiology
  • Myelography and arthrography
  • Perform a variety of technical tasks involving x-ray equipment
  • Adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current
  • Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment
  • Explain x-ray procedures to patients and position them for each anatomical view
  • Position patients using immobilization and protective devices as required
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the attending medical staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned work area
  • Consult with lead Radiology Techs and Radiologists to ensure compliance with established standards of quality
  • Process film according to standardized procedures
  • Maintain records of film exposure and labeling
  • Sort film as required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
  • Minimum 2 years of previous management experience preferred
  • AART Registered and CPR Current
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner

Qualifications

Must possess independent decision-making skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must also have knowledge of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
