About the role
Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Radiology Technician to join their team. This position offers an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to work at a top-tier, surgically-focused center that performs thousands of procedures annually.
Responsibilities
- IV and contrast administration
- Orthopedic radiology
- Pediatric radiology
- Operating room Radiology
- Trauma Radiology
- Gastrointestinal (GI) Radiology
- Outpatient and inpatient diagnostic Radiology
- Myelography and arthrography
- Perform a variety of technical tasks involving x-ray equipment
- Adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current
- Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients and position them for each anatomical view
- Position patients using immobilization and protective devices as required
- Report any changes in patient condition to the attending medical staff
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned work area
- Consult with lead Radiology Techs and Radiologists to ensure compliance with established standards of quality
- Process film according to standardized procedures
- Maintain records of film exposure and labeling
- Sort film as required
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
- Minimum 2 years of previous management experience preferred
- AART Registered and CPR Current
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations
- Independent decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner
Qualifications
Must possess independent decision-making skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must also have knowledge of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
