About the Role
A skilled and compassionate CT/Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic CT exams using advanced imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. The role involves collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams, maintaining technical competency, and adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
The technologist prepares patients, operates equipment, evaluates image quality, and documents procedures accurately. They provide patient education, ensure comfort, and assist in training colleagues and students. The position requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT exams using advanced imaging equipment.
- Ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
- Maintain technical competency and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Prepare patients and operate imaging equipment.
- Evaluate image quality and document procedures accurately.
- Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort.
- Assist in training colleagues and students.
Qualifications & Skills
- ARRT certification and active state licensure (if required).
- CT certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, imaging evaluation, equipment operation, and contrast protocols.
- Strong communication and task prioritization skills.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
