About the role
This position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership. The role provides the opportunity and encouragement to expand skill sets.
Responsibilities
- Recognize general radiography anatomy
- Provide service excellence and comply with hospital policies and procedures
- Use RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results
- Support staffing patterns that meet patient flow
- Provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups
- Demonstrate moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completed an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program
- Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
- Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience
- Portable and in department fluoroscopy procedures
- Operating Room procedures
Qualifications
- Current state R.T. license required
- ARRT Certified
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure
- Endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
