Shift's Available: Days
Employment Type: Full Time with On-Call Requirement (must live within 30 minutes of RRMC)
Hours: 8-hour shift
Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL
Responsibilities
- C conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
- R responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
- F during Operating Room/Surgical procedures
- I interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
- M maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
- S stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
- O operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
- M maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Qualifications
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
- ARRT-R Certification
- Current BLS accredited by the AHA
- Familiar with State and Federal regulations
- Proficient computer skills
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferred

About the Role
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures in the Operating Room. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes in the OR. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
