About the role
As an RT, you need to know how to:
- Perform X-rays in accordance with Primary Health policies and procedures
- Display the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person
- Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician
- Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
- Prepare basic laboratory tests on premises and prepare laboratory specimens
- Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
- Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and documentation
- Provide quality patient education based on assessment of needs
- Perform tests and procedures as ordered
- Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
- Relay provider instructions to patients
- Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
- Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care
- Assist or lead in emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
