Radiology Technologist

Pay

Casual position. New RT graduates without experience, recently ARRT certified, start at $29.11/hour. RT employees are eligible for a bonus after 1 full year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-rays in accordance with Primary Health policies and procedures
• Display the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person
• Absorb and manage details of patients, schedules, and referrals
• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician
• Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
• Prepare basic laboratory tests on premises and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
• Absorb and manage patient flow, paperwork, and documentation
• Provide quality patient education based on assessment of needs
• Perform tests and procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
• Relay provider instructions to patients
• Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care
• Absorb and assist in emergency situations
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Qualified applicants to be ARRT registered or eligible to sit for the registry exam
• Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior
• Computer proficiency. Ability to use applicable software as required, performing the essential functions of the job
