About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs and provide diagnostic information.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them correctly, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
  • Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
  • Document patient care services in patient and department records.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and ensure anatomical orientation on all images.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and patient care.
  • Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Graduate of a vocational school program in Radiologic Technology.
