About the role
The Radiology Specialty Technologist is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist. The role involves performing advanced bone density procedures within an Osteoporosis Center, including dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and quantitative ultrasonography. The technologist demonstrates a strong knowledge of radiation safety, assists in clinical instruction, and collaborates on research protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform bone density procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist in clinical training and support research activities within the center
- Maintain advanced skills in radiologic techniques and radiation safety
- Collaborate with research staff and participate in protocol execution
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification, Vermont state license, and eligibility for ISCD certification
- Preferred 4+ years of radiology technologist experience
- Strong understanding of radiation physics and safety procedures
