Radiology Technician - Orthopedics - Full-Time - Day

About the role

Performs radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation, including advanced techniques such as ERCPs, fluoroscopies, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, and trauma imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures patient safety and quality imaging by troubleshooting equipment, obtaining nursing assessments, and reviewing images before submission.
  • Maintains accurate documentation in PACS and EMR, manages workflow, and communicates delays to patients.
  • Operates PACS system, manages charges, and responds effectively to emergency situations.
  • Promotes positive patient experiences and collaborates with staff to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Certified by ARRT and SCRQSA (if in South Carolina).
  • CPR certification.
  • Completion of an accredited radiology program preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in customer service, teamwork, computer systems, data entry, PACS, and EMR.
  • Knowledgeable in various imaging procedures and equipment troubleshooting.

Schedule

Day shifts.

Non-management role reporting to a supervisor, located at a hospital facility within the Orthopedics department.
