What You’ll Do

• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Positions patients to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
• Provides immobilization devices as required.
• Adjusts controls of equipment as needed to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
• Administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
• Provides radiation protection as needed per exam.
• Processes films by either automatic or hand processing.
• Transports patients to and from patients waiting area and/or patient rooms assuming responsibility for their safety.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness during procedures.
• May answer phone and make appointments.
• May be requested to retrieve and file jackets.
• May purge files.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• Current X-Ray Technician registration issued by the WA Department of Health
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
