Radiology Technician
The Radiologic Technologist/Emergency Department/Laboratory Technologist at NeighborHealth is a per-diem position covering Sun 7a – 7p, Mon 10a – 11p, Tue & Wed 11p – 7a.
About the Role
NeighborHealth is a large community health center serving the greater Boston area, committed to patient and community health. This per-diem position produces high-quality Radiographic images under the guidance of Radiology Supervisor and BMC Radiologists.
Responsibilities
- Performs Diagnostic Radiographic examinations following department protocol and utilizing technical factors for high-quality results.
- Produces copies of Radiographic images as needed.
- Fulfills Radiation safety procedures on all exams keeping them ALARA.
- Utilizes appropriate shields to reduce exposure to patients.
- Sets technical factors to reduce patient exposure and produce high-quality films.
- Uses sterile technique if required and follows standard precautions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to communicate with all age groups served.
- Prepares patients for the exam by explaining the procedure kindly and respectfully. Utilizes an interpreter as needed.
- Demonstrates recognition of age-related pathology and physical presentation during exams and adjusting technical factors accordingly.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Training Program.
- Average of 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume diagnostic radiographic environment.
- Good working knowledge in Radiology.
- Ability to adapt to changing technical settings.
Qualifications
- Licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Radiography.
- CPR certified and able to maintain certification annually.

Benefits
Starting at $50.00, and up to $65.00 based on experience.
Pay
$50.00 - $65.00 per hour, depending on experience.
