About the role
Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a Radiology Technician to join our dedicated team. This position offers a competitive hourly range of $25.89-$33.45 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician’s orders.
- Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice as ordered.
- Maintains patient safety by monitoring patient condition and responding to changes as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards by preparing equipment and supplies, selecting exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
- Analyzes results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action including repositioning or repeating procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Radiology program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology.
- BLS Certification.
Qualifications
As a Radiology Technician, you must have a strong foundation in radiological techniques and a compassionate approach to patient care. You should be able to work flexible hours, including nights, due to the nature of the role.
