Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations, maintaining imaging equipment, and providing excellent patient care while supporting physicians and clinical staff.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety standards and maintain compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain and operate radiographic equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Upload and document imaging studies accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with additional clinical duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- Current Georgia state radiologic license (or eligibility) required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
- Previous orthopedic or outpatient imaging experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
