About the role

Assist technologists during procedures in order to expedite the best diagnosis to patient and deliver quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients, directs patient flow from waiting rooms to exam rooms.
  • Has patient fill out proper forms if applicable.
  • Evaluates patient prescriptions to ensure proper exam is performed pertaining to individual ailment.
  • Orders and completes all Cerner functions.
  • Changes patient and prepares patient for procedure.
  • Performs exam with technologist and offers assistance to patient, technologist, & radiologist throughout entire procedure.
  • Retrieves x-rays, medical records, nuclear medicine reports and develops radiographs as needed.
  • Brings films to radiologist to evaluate.
  • Cleans exam room following procedures and restocks used materials.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Minimum Experience: zero to six months.
  • Desired: Previous experience in radiological services, knowledge of human anatomy, knowledge of department procedures.

Working Conditions

  • Manual: Significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity.
  • Occupational: Significant occupational risk.
  • Physical Effort: Very heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force.
  • Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

$17.00 - $24.91 hourly
