Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations during pain management interventional procedures under direction of chief technologist or designee.
• Perform various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Prepare patient and procedure room: enter error‑free data, ensure linen supply, assist with patient transfers/positioning, maintain 5‑minute room turnaround.
• Obtain high‑quality radiographic images by setting proper exposure factors and using correct patient identification labels and side markers.
• Maintain precise, error‑free records of films, fluoro time, and other clinical documentation.
• Observe all radiation safety and patient identification rules with zero tolerance for misidentification or misadministration.
• Assist physicians with preparation of contrast materials, syringes, and injection equipment.
• Train students and associates, providing accurate and knowledgeable information.
• Ensure overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the assigned clinical area and perform other related assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
• Valid X‑Ray Technologist license issued by the State of New York.
• OHS Annual Assessment and OHS Fit Test required.
• Ability to cover two MMG sites: Bronx East and Cross County.
• Shift: Part‑time Monday, Wednesday, Friday 04:00 PM – 09:30 PM; alternating Saturdays 08:45 AM – 05:15 PM.
• Associates eligible for lateral transfer after one year of service (with noted restrictions regarding warnings or suspensions).
• Part‑time associates who complete probationary period may move to full‑time vacancies within department, subject to operational efficiency.
