About the role

The Radiology Tech performs and produces diagnostic radiographic evaluations, assists in patient transport, and maintains the radiographic room and work area.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Demonstrates expertise in the use and development of film.
• Prepares reports and documentation as required or directed.
• Correctly uses the Olicon Imaging system.
• Safely transports all patient populations to the radiographic room and assists patients during the x-ray process.
• Maintains equipment and work areas.
• Assists in various support activities for the department.
• Enhances professional growth.
• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School graduate; completion of AMA-approved X-ray training school required.
• Current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island.
• Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Proficiency in the English language.
