About the role
The Radiology Tech performs and produces diagnostic radiographic evaluations, assists in patient transport, and maintains the radiographic room and work area.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
- Demonstrates expertise in the use and development of film.
- Prepares reports and documentation as required or directed.
- Correctly uses the Olicon Imaging system.
- Safely transports all patient populations to the radiographic room and assists patients during the x-ray process.
- Maintains equipment and work areas.
- Assists in various support activities for the department.
- Enhances professional growth.
- Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High School graduate; completion of AMA-approved X-ray training school required.
- Current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island.
- Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Proficiency in the English language.
