About the Role
This position involves performing diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice under supervision, with the goal of advancing to a Radiology Tech Registered role.
Responsibilities
- Practice within state licensure and maintain competency in clinical and technical functions.
- Ensure proper patient identification, prepare patients for exams, and perform imaging procedures according to protocols.
- Review images for quality, adhere to radiation safety, and complete studies efficiently without compromising care.
- Provide patient education, ensure comfort, practice infection control, and maintain accurate records.
- Operate imaging equipment and information systems, following protocols for coding, charging, and quality control.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology program with clinical and didactic training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, image evaluation, equipment operation, contrast protocols, and emergency response.
Skills
- Independent work and teamwork.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic imaging and task prioritization.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, read, and operate equipment accurately.
- Effective verbal communication in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity for handling delicate equipment and documentation.
- Capability to lift, transfer, and assist with patient mobility and equipment movement.
- Stamina for standing, walking, and navigating busy environments.
