About the role
Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and is provided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skill sets. Must have the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging on general radiographic equipment
- Recognize general radiography anatomy
- Provide service excellence and comply with hospital policies and procedures
- Use RIS/PACS and HIS for recording patient exams and disseminating results
- Perform portable and in-department fluoroscopy procedures
- Assist with Operating Room procedures
- Accommodate scheduling flexibility to support patient flow
- Provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues for patients of all age groups (infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program
- Recent, up to one year, hospital-related experience
- Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience
Qualifications
- Current state R.T. license
- ARRT Certified
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits in a two-year period for re-certification and licensure
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification (must obtain within 3 months of hire)
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay
$32.15 - $46.84 per hour
