Radiology Tech IV

About the Role

As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. You will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct patient interaction.

The Rad Tech IV will assist the Radiology Manager in staff scheduling, ACR, and other day-to-day activities. You will ensure a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously.

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals by requesting identification or visitor pass and refer to each individual by name when appropriate.
• Consistently produce quality images within hospital guidelines and department standards (e.g., patient safety, repeat rate, exam protocols, film processing).
• Accurately complete documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, film labeling, and computer entry.
• Perform clerical duties as necessary (e.g., login of patients, filing films).
• Maintain clinical competency and upgrade skills through in-service education and continuing education activities.
• Participate in the training of departmental personnel and students.
• Assist MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures while following sterile technique, infection control guidelines, and department standards.
• Evaluate personal and departmental workflow to ensure efficient patient care, prioritizing work according to urgency and resources.
• Respond effectively in emergency situations.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB).
• 7 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, proficient in 2 advanced modalities, or 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, proficient in 3 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography.
• Current California Medical Radiographer certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) certification.
• California Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech certification.
• Certified, working, and proficient in 3 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography.
• Venipuncture training certificate.
• Completion of annual safety training and required unit-specific training.

Pay

$70.04 - $77.33 per hour.
