Job Description
The Radiology Student Tech performs technical procedures involving ionizing radiation, preparing equipment, exposing x-ray film, developing films, and organizing patient rooms and supplies. The position is divided into two levels based on clinical competencies completed in their respective radiology programs.
Shifts
- Every other Friday (6:00am-6:00pm)
- Saturday (6:00am-6:00pm)
- Sunday (7:30am-4:00pm)
Location
Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Enrolled in a CAHEA/accredited radiology program or equivalent
- Radiology Student Tech II must have completed 12 months of the CAHEA radiological technologist program
Certifications
- Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer
Experience
- Previous clinical rotation experience required

Physical Demands
- Moderately active work involving sitting and moving around the office and facility
- Exerting a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or operate standard office equipment
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers
- Close visual and acuity needed for tasks requiring precision
- Ability to work extended periods without undue fatigue
- Ability to work flexible hours including off days, shifts, and weekends
