Radiology Student Tech II

Job Description

The Radiology Student Tech performs technical procedures involving ionizing radiation, preparing equipment, exposing x-ray film, developing films, and organizing patient rooms and supplies. Level I may perform x-rays under supervision, while Level II performs x-rays unsupervised after completing required clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Enrolled in a CAHEA-accredited radiology program or equivalent
• Radiology Student Tech II must have completed 12 months of the CAHEA radiological technologist program

Skills

• BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer
• Previous clinical rotation experience required

Benefits

Work involves moderate activity, including sitting, moving about the office and facility, and traveling within the SRHS service area. Work requires close visual acuity, repetitive motions, and the ability to perceive sound at normal speaking levels.
