Responsibilities
- Provide patient care services within the approved scope of practice under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles.
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients across the lifespan.
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate daily clinical activities.
- Provide guidance and support to clinical staff involved in patient care.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations while ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable healthcare standards.
- Protect the confidentiality of patient health information (PHI).
Qualifications
- Recent experience as a Radiology Specialist Assistant, preferably in an Interventional Radiology setting.
- Strong knowledge of image-guided procedures, sterile technique, and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Current licensure and certifications required by state and facility guidelines.
Procedural Experience Required
- Fluoroscopic procedures, including:
- Upper GI Series
- Small Bowel Follow-Through
- Barium Enemas
- Joint injections using fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis, including patient preparation, imaging guidance, and post-procedure monitoring
- Ultrasound- or CT-guided abscess drain placement
- Bone marrow biopsies, including specimen collection and site preparation
- Ultrasound- and CT-guided biopsies of various tissues and organs while following established safety protocols
Traveler Requirements
- 100-mile radius rule applies.
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility based on their permanent address.

Pay
Gross Weekly Pay: $3,526
Taxable Weekly Pay: $2,280
Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,246
