Radiology Scheduling Specialist II

About the role

The Scheduling Specialist II under the supervision of the Director of Radiology and Operations Supervisor, is responsible for scheduling and coordinating patient appointments for respective clinics both in person and over the phone using an automated patient scheduling system.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient problems and schedule related tests and procedures
• Provide appropriate patient instructions
• Communicate effectively to ensure positive outcomes in person or on the phone
• Develop collaborative relationships with peers, patients, providers, and visitors
• Train new staff and serve as an advanced scheduling resource for providers and mentor to staff

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Knowledgeable in office procedures and medical terminology
• Good communication skills
• Knowledgeable in computers

Experience

• One year of administrative experience required
