Role Overview
This position involves scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, managing communication with patients, providers, and payers, and ensuring accurate documentation. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, assessing requests, facilitating access to healthcare services, and handling appointment modifications across multiple modalities and procedures.
Key Duties
- Perform scheduling functions via phone or in person, ensuring efficient booking per patient and provider requests.
- Verify and record patient information, including clinical, demographic, and insurance details.
- Coordinate multi-resource scheduling, including diagnostics and procedures, while maintaining compliance with documentation guidelines.
- Support department communication, assist with process improvements, and uphold safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, manage phone metrics, and assist with registration accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year experience in a medical office.
- Basic computer proficiency, strong communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings, multitask, and prioritize efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift light objects and perform sedentary work involving walking and standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree, call center or medical office experience, and knowledge of medical terminology.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour.
