Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload in an outpatient imaging environment, focusing on pre- and post-procedural nursing care, conscious sedation monitoring, and patient safety during advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology).
- Provide vital clinical support, patient education, and compassionate reassurance to patients navigating complex diagnostic procedures and specialized imaging paths.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide the highest quality nursing care and service excellence in the continuum of care.
- Support the Radiologist by assisting in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Absorb equipment and inventory, assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
- Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures, and participate in Performance Improvement activities, department meetings, and in-services.
- Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS Certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) preferred.
- One (1) year of acute clinical Radiology Nursing experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Conscious Sedation Monitoring competency within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Pay
Competitive compensation with a reasonable estimate of $43.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection.
