About the role
Manages operations of the Radiology department, working closely with off-site radiologists and physicians. Responsible for developing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high-quality, cost-effective radiology services.
Responsibilities
- Plans, implements, and evaluates departmental services to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Maintains records for Quality Assurance, accreditation, OSHA, and legal compliance.
- Assists in preparing and monitoring the departmental budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Collaborates with leadership to solve operational issues and improve productivity.
- Performs quality control testing and generates quality assurance reports on radiology equipment.
- Coordinates staff and student training, orientation, and scheduling to optimize department performance.
- Supports application and implementation of computer systems.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and evaluates staff; leads performance reviews and coaching.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (completion within 5 years of hire).
- Preferred ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Leadership and management experience preferred.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform essential functions with visual acuity and effective hearing.
