Role Overview

Provide exceptional customer service and support in a radiology department by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing referrals, and coordinating imaging and results communication. Work independently to improve clinical and clerical operations, assist with training staff, and ensure patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointments, prioritize emergent exams, and optimize scheduling.
  • Assist patients with referrals, follow-ups, and image requests.
  • Verify insurance and demographic information accurately.
  • Coordinate image sharing, download CDs, and maintain radiology information systems.
  • Communicate results to providers and support departmental workflows.
  • Provide backup support, handle patient concerns, and maintain a tidy waiting area.
  • Protect patient privacy and adhere to confidentiality policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service or healthcare experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and reach up to 30 pounds.

Pay

$16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on experience and location.

Schedule

Day shifts.
