Job SummaryHomeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a well-established acute care hospital in the Hickory, NC area to recruit a full-time Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for its weekend day team. This Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) will perform general diagnostic imaging, primarily supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient units, with occasional OR coverage for urgent and emergent cases. The team is ideally seeking a Radiologic Technologist with 1–3 years of relevant experience who is comfortable working within a fast-paced acute-care environment. ResponsibilitiesPerform general diagnostic X-ray examinations throughout the hospitalProvide stationary, portable, and bedside imaging servicesSupport imaging needs in the Emergency Department and inpatient unitsProvide occasional OR imaging coverage for urgent and emergent casesReview physician orders and obtain relevant patient historiesProperly position patients and follow radiation safety protocolsOperate radiologic equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic imagesEvaluate images for technical quality and completenessCollaborate with physicians, nurses, other X-ray technologists, and members of the clinical team RequirementsAssociate Degree in Radiologic Science or an equivalent programARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist or eligibility for registrationCurrent BLS certification or ability to obtain certification shortly after hireKnowledge and demonstrated skills in general diagnostic X-ray imaging1–3 years of relevant Radiologic Technologist experience preferredHospital-based imaging experience preferredAbility and willingness to perform ED, inpatient, portable, bedside, and occasional OR imagingStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approachWillingness to learn, grow, and contribute as part of a collaborative imaging team Additional InformationThe hospital utilizes GE portable X-ray equipment and Cerner EMR. Previous experience with GE equipment is helpful but not required. The department averages approximately 15–20 patients per technologist per shift. This position will have strong team support, including two additional X-ray technologists on Saturday and Sunday, with additional staff on Friday. Schedule: This is a full-time, three-day weekend schedule:Friday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM Sunday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM BenefitsThis position offers a comprehensive benefits package and an $8,000 sign-on bonus. The hourly base rate is based on experience and ranges from $22.20–$29.97/hour. Saturday and Sunday shifts receive an additional $8.00/hour Weekend Flex Differential, resulting in an effective hourly rate of $30.20–$37.97/hour for Saturday and Sunday. Friday is paid at the applicable base rate.
