Radiologic Technologist Up To 5k Bonus

Bonus up to $5,000! Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Location: Boise, ID (3237 S Federal Way).

About the role

As a Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist at Concentra, you will be a vital member of our patient-care team, delivering routine x-ray examinations and supporting other clinical areas under the direct supervision of the treating clinician. This role ensures efficient, accurate, one-on-one patient care in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality clinical standards and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

Radiologic Technologist Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
• Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions, and assist in positioning body parts for radiography.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure care, safety, and comfort during x-ray exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
• Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
• Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order; report malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
• Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure Radiology reports correctly cross to the EMR.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visits.
• Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policies.

Medical Assistant Duties

• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required or requested ancillary testing (vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing in accordance with state regulations).
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician and triage emergent patients as needed.
• Prepare and assist clinicians with procedure set-up and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
• Dispense medications and durable medical equipment (DME) as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations.
• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment, medical devices, and testing processes used in the center.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
• Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
• Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or the facility is not operating as expected.
• Assist with patient flow and volume in partnership with center leadership.
• Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit.
• Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
• Ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required.
• Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
• Complete any applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable state certification.
• Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with active and valid certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state-specific) preferred.
• Prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry into various systems/applications.

Pay

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the range of $24.72 to $40.00 hourly, depending on job-related factors such as level of experience, geographic location, and/or seniority.
