About the role
Perform diagnostic radiological procedures using various imaging equipment to assist in medical diagnosis.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and process patient exams following established protocols and guidelines
- Review cases with radiologists and administer contrast agents
- Recognize and respond to adverse reactions
- Operate imaging equipment, including specialized devices in OR and Pain Treatment settings
- Review orders and patient history for accuracy
- Critique image quality and transfer images to PACS
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work environment
- Maintain equipment, manage supplies, and ensure safety compliance
- Report malfunctions and safety events
- Support departmental productivity
- May assist in training staff and perform duties of other modalities as needed
- May serve as Radiologic Technologist Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
Requirements
- Valid radiologic technologist license
- BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ARRT registration within 1 year of hire
- Relevant college diploma or radiologic technology certificate
Skills
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment
- Ability to review clinical data
- Effective communication with staff and patients
