Radiologic Technologist - Sign-On Bonus

About the Role

Provides general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging across various hospital departments, including emergency, surgery, and bedside services.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiologic exams, positions patients, and selects optimal technical factors while reviewing orders and patient history.
  • Ensures patient safety by verifying identities, maintaining confidentiality, and following safety protocols, including ALARA principles.
  • Prepares sterile fields, contrast agents, and supplies; assists radiologists during fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Post-processes images, prepares them for interpretation, and transmits to PACS; maintains equipment and reports malfunctions.
  • Provides compassionate patient care, explains procedures, and assists with patient transport.
  • Participates in safety measures, emergency responses, and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
  • Shares on-call duties and pursues ongoing education; attends departmental meetings and in-service trainings.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent experience.
  • Radiographer license, ARRT certification, and BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • Preferred experience in trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgery settings.
