About the role

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, to capture images of specific body parts for medical diagnosis and monitoring. Working under supervision, they prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure minimal radiation exposure to patients and themselves.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician instructions for imaging procedures
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety
• Position patients accurately for imaging
• Adhere to safety techniques, including shielding
• Operate imaging equipment proficiently
• Complete documentation accurately
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from a radiology or related program
• Licensure/certification such as ARRT (R)
• CPR certification from a recognized agency
